Shrimp Dumplings recipe

Ingredients:

WRAPPER
1 cup of plain flour.
2 medium eggs.
¼ teaspoon of baking soda.

FILLING
1 ½ lb of shrimp, shelled and deveined.
3 ½ oz of cooked pork fat.
3 ½ oz of bamboo shoots, shredded.
1 tablespoon of lard.
1 teaspoon of sesame oil.
½ teaspoon of pepper.
1 ½ teaspoons of sugar.
2 teaspoons of salt.

Preparation Instructions:

In a bowl, combine all of the filling ingredients and stir until the mixture becomes sticky. Set aside.

Take one wrapper and place 1 teaspoon filling in the center.

Fold up the wrapper, working with both hands to seal the dumpling.

Push the upper edge gently to the left and make ruffles along the top of the dumplings.

Steam the dumplings over a very high heat for about 9 minutes.

Serve.
